Obituary for Juanita Williams

Juanita Williams Harper was born on March 8, 1939 to the late Mitchelle and Katie Harper Nixon. Juanita, affectionately known as “Nita” entered into eternal rest on January 16, 2019.

Juanita had a quiet demeanor about herself. She went about her business in her own quiet way. When she smiled, her cheeks would glow. Juanita was a member of Shoulders Branch Missionary Baptist Church. She believed and trusted in God for all her help.

Juanita was married to Earl “Red” Williams who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, Juanita was also preceded in death by her son, Curtis Harper.

Juanita is survived by: her children, Warrell Harper (Debra), Marvin Harper, Thomas Earl Harper, Eugene Williams, Morris Williams, Timothy Williams, Alexander Williams and Debbie Williams, all of Wilmington, NC; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Lilly Green of the Island Creek Community, Rocky Point, NC and Beatrice Murray of Baltimore, MD; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including a devoted and trusted friend, Miss Janice Nicoles and a long-time friend, Alice Brinson.
